I highly recommend WCD bootcamp if you are thinking about a career switch to the data industry. Although nowadays knowledge sharing is very common and you could almost find any information online FOR FREE, it could be very overwhelming and inefficient to learn everything by yourself. Before I took the bootcamp, I have learn SQL,Python and did a lot of exercises on Leetcode. But I learn so much more than just coding in the bootcamp, such as integrating different tools, systematically appoarching to a data problem, and ways to avoid data leakage. Those parts surely come with rich experience, which is pretty difficult to learn for a starter on his own. Another thing I benefit a lot from the bootcamp is the internship. WCD has formed sustainable long term partnership with many industry players. So I have the chance to work on real data projects and built up my first working experience. There are so many resources available to learn data science, many free or very low cost. Why spend thousands of dollars to attend the WeCloud Data fulltime Bootcamp? For the Structure, Support, Resources, Opportunities, and Networking it provides. The head instructor there is one of the hardest working people I've ever met, and he works with one goal in mind: Placing his students in excellent Data Science jobs. Lectures and learning materials are provided. The focus on building skills in Python, SQL, Big Data, and building a strong business-relevant Portfolio. The TAs and guest lectures are very helpful. You will still need to work very hard and supplement your learning beyond the classroom instruction with additional resources.
